Who makes Learners Test Canada?

Learners Test Canada is made by blue0orbit, an independent app developer. We are not a driving school or a government body, and the app has no connection with any licensing authority. You can reach us at blue0orbit@gmail.com.

Why province by province?

Canada has 13 learner's tests, not one. Their formats, pass marks and licence rules differ, and a question bank that mixes them teaches the wrong details. So each province and territory has its own bank, written from its own handbook, with a practice test in its own format.

How are the questions written?

  1. From the official handbook

Each question tests one rule from the driver's handbook of its province or territory, written in our own words. No official test question, handbook sentence or image is reproduced.

  2. Explained, choice by choice

Every answer has an explanation, the reason each wrong choice is wrong, and the handbook source.

  3. In English and French

Every bank is in both languages. Québec's questions are written in French first.

  4. Honest about what isn't known

When a jurisdiction doesn't publish its number of questions or pass mark, we don't guess in public: the practice format is labelled to be confirmed.

  5. Corrected when you tell us

Rules change and mistakes happen. Every problem report is checked against the handbook and fixed in an update.
